Spectrum Named Top Veteran Employer by VETS Indexes for the Fourth Year in a Row
For the fourth year in a row, Spectrum has been recognized as a 5 Star Employer in the 2026 VETS Indexes Employer Awards — the program’s highest distinction. This designation highlights our efforts in recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing and supporting veterans and the broader military-connected community.
With over 7,000 veteran employees currently working as part of our team, we aim to help transitioning service members make the most of their civilian careers with robust benefits and career progression programs that increase your earnings as you grow.
"The military builds structure, discipline and a strong work ethic—qualities that align with the skills we need to support our customers and deliver connectivity services to communities across the country," says Paul Marchand, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. "Supporting veterans as they build careers during their transition from the military to civilian life has been, and remains, a priority at Spectrum.”
Our support for the military-connected community starts before veterans even join our team. With tools like our Military Skills Translator, which helps candidates see exactly how their service aligns with our open roles, and the opportunity for veterans to connect with a member of our dedicated Military Talent Attraction Team to learn more about current openings, we ensure that the transition from service to a civilian career is seamless and supported. We also participate in the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship, giving active-duty service members the opportunity to test-drive a civilian career at Spectrum during a 12-week immersive experience. The program is designed for mutual success: fellows get hands-on experience while our team gets to see their talent in action.

About VETS Indexes
VETS Indexes is a leading voice on veteran employment issues, overseeing the VETS Indexes Employer Awards, hosting the Employing U.S. Vets Conference, unearthing unique and unprecedented data on veteran employment through the Veteran Employment Benchmarking Service, and developing custom indexes, linked to financial products, that track the performance of the publicly traded companies that have established themselves as the best employers for veterans.
The VETSX and VTRNIX indexes were created on the premise that the companies that make the best use of the highly talented, yet under-valued, talent pool that veterans represent will ultimately see a benefit to their bottom lines. The performance of the indexes has emphatically confirmed that thesis, regularly outpacing the S&P 500.
As the world’s first resource for U.S.-veteran-themed indexes, our mission is to provide innovative solutions that recognize the value created by the mission-critical mindset, unique skills, and specialized training that veterans bring to the workplace. Our mission also includes a commitment to always donate a significant portion (target of 20% and no less than 5%) of our net profits to charitable organizations that support veterans and their families.
