Stamford Named 2026 Community Champion by The Stamford Partnership

What does it take to shape a city’s future? Collaboration, innovation and a deep commitment to community. That’s why we were honored to receive the 2026 Community Champion Award from the Stamford Partnership, in recognition of our ongoing investment in Stamford and the people who call it home.

For more than five decades, the Stamford Partnership has brought organizations together to support the city’s growth through initiatives like beautifying Mill River Park, opening the UConn Stamford campus and the Stamford Transportation Center and launching the Stamford Tech Hub last year. Today, the organization continues to champion entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and preparing local residents for future job opportunities.

A major part of that commitment is the Stamford Tech Hub, located in our headquarters. The Tech Hub helps local talent build the skills needed for jobs of the future through immersive training - which are becoming more important as technology and AI continue to reshape the workforce.

Mayor Caroline Simmons thanked Charter for our $5 million, 10-year commitment supporting workforce development initiatives in the city. “The Stamford Tech Hub has already helped more than 100 Stamford residents secure jobs. This workforce readiness program is helping citizens across generations to adapt and grow their skills.”

Paul Marchand, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, accepted the award on behalf of Charter and reflected on the strong partnership between our company, the Stamford Partnership and the city. “The Stamford Partnership’s focus on innovation, workforce development and community advancement aligns naturally with the commitment we made to investing in local talent when we established our headquarters here.”

The evening served as a reminder that communities are strongest when people feel connected to opportunity — something the Stamford Partnership continues to help make possible through collaboration across the community with organizations like ours.
